It's time for your quarterly reminder that Ubisoft's Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Skull and Bones still exist, and that neither has a concrete release date. However, if there is one thing we have learned observing this industry, it's that mounting economic pressure and corporate deadlines have a way of forcing the issue for better or worse.
In a recent earnings call (thanks, Stephen Totilo), Ubisoft stated that a number of their titles, including Assassin's Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull & Bones, XDefiant, and "another large game" would all be out by the end of March 2024. That's a lot of irons to have in the fire, and obviously, things can (and almost assuredly will) change, but it's more than we knew yesterday!
It seems like we could get firm release dates for at least Skull & Bones and AC Mirage at next month's Ubisoft Forward showcase, too, because outside of that being the obvious place to do it, it's something the company has insinuated.
Where are you at with Avatar, and with Skull & Bones, for that matter? Are you still anticipating these titles, or have they just been too long in development to muster much enthusiasm for? Make your thoughts known in the comments section below.

So still nothing on Prince of Persia or Splinter Cell then. I doubt they are the other big game as thats likely to be something like Far Cry knowing Ubi
im quite interested in this Avatar game looks great. yes it will be the same ubisoft game design as always but i like Avatar so the world should be interesting
Ubisoft is so bizarre to me. They are going to release 5 AAA Games and I couldn't care less about any of them. Another AC, a racing game, a generic shooter, Skull & Bones, and a game around Avatar. They have almost 20,000 employees and none of it matters to me. Hopefully 2024 brings something more compelling.
I’ve always been somewhat of a Ubisoft apologist… I just tend to really quite like their games for my sins. Not excited for all of their projects listed there but I do like the AC games and have always liked the look of Avatar.
Skull in Bones is clearly going to be dead in the water. They should just release it and get that band aid pulled off already so they can move onto something more interesting.
Can’t wait for Avatar. But it looks like I’ll have to.
Hopefully we see a bit more of this at the PlayStation showcase
Nah, you cannot trust Ubisoft until they bring something great again. I am not against buyi g their games if good but definitely do not preorder with them.
I have a feeling Ubi will be bought out. The length of development cycles for large games combined with internal issues means that each of these needs to land well and I just can't see that happening outside of AC and FC titles.
@brn70121 'Dead in the water.' Intentional or not, I like what you did there!
Really looking forward to this one, although I would've preferred a third person approach rather than the first person it appears to be.
It feels like every Ubisoft game in existence is suffering from “Duke Nukem Forever” syndrome.
Which doesn’t bode well for their quality.
Aloy just got a new look, lol
Dock into cancelation or Dock into a release.
This game has potential, but i wish it was sony making it. I am afraid Ybisoft is gonna slap the AC formula on it and call it a day, as usual.
As long as we get solid release dates for Assassin's Creed: Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and maybe Prince of Persia I'll be happy.
The surprise big game could be the Splinter Cell remake?
Well Skull and Bones looks rubbish and I can't say I care about Avatar, I think Ubisoft are just one of those publishers that don't appeal to me for whatever reason
